Randy Brown, CP
Randy Brown is a certified prosthetist at the Lincoln office of Nebraska Orthotic & Prosthetic Services. He co-founded the company in 2000, after working at Thornton Orthopedic in Boulder, Colo., and OSI/NovaCare in Lincoln.
His father was a practitioner, so Randy grew up learning about the orthotics and prosthetics profession. He worked for his father in Boulder, Colo., and then at Missouri Valley Orthotics and Prosthetics in Lincoln. He received his prosthetist training at Century College, White Bear Lake, Minnesota.
Randy specializes in lower-extremity prosthetics, especially transfemoral and immediate post operative prostheses. He is a member of American Orthotic & Prosthetic Association and is ABC-certified.
"My profession provides me the opportunity to make a difference in my patients' lives," Randy says. "I really enjoy talking with them and learning about their goals and passions so that I can help them achieve their highest level of mobility and function."

Cory Schutte, CO
Cory Schutte, certified orthotist, is manager of the Grand Island and Hastings offices. He specializes in fitting and fabricating orthoses for patients of all ages, but he has a special connection with his diabetic patients. "I also have Type I diabetes so I can speak to them out of personal experience," he says. His lifelong interest in health care and wanting to make a difference in quality of life led him to the orthotics profession, which he trained for in Grand Island and Rapid City, S.D. He became certified in 1998 by the
Board of Certification (BOC) and in 2004 by the American Board for Certification in Orthotics and Prosthetics (ABC). Cory is a member of the American Orthotic & Prosthetic Association (AOPA). He also is a graduate of the Spencer School of Business. A native of Kearney, he now resides in Grand Island with his wife and two children.

Brad Rosenberger, CPO, FAAOP
Brad Rosenberger has been certified in prosthetics and orthotics since 1977, and is the only practitioner in the state of Nebraska who holds the title, Fellow of American Academy of Orthotists and Prosthetists (FAAOP). Fellow is the highest distinction the academy offers, and criteria of earning this title include: completing certificate programs for professional development, reviewing journal articles and/or book chapters selected by the faculty, successfully completing a written examination; authoring an accepted manuscript for the Journal of Prosthetics & Orthotics, and contributing to the orthotics and prosthetics profession through community service or volunteer service, among others. He also has served in a variety of leadership roles in the regional and national chapters of AAOP.
Located at the Lincoln office, Brad specializes in patients with scoliosis and lower-extremity prostheses.
He earned a bachelor of arts in economics from Doane College and a bachelor of science in education, with a major in prosthetics and orthotics from New York University.
Previous to NOPS, Brad worked for Missouri Valley O & P in Omaha.
"The most stimulating thing to me is combining my desire to design and build with the opportunity to help improve people's lives. Working with patients is an everyday satisfaction," he says. "I particularly like the quality of my partners at NOPS. We very carefully selected the people we want to represent this company."
Brad lives in Lincoln with his wife, Karen; they have three children.

Jerry Kassebaum, CO
Jerry Kassebaum is an ABC-certified orthotist and sees patients at the Lincoln office, where he specializes in fabricating and fitting lower-limb and spinal orthotics.
He joined NOPS in 2002 and has more than 40 years of experience working in orthotics. Previous to joining NOPS, he practiced at Lincoln Splint Brace, was a partner at Missouri Valley Orthotic & Prosthetic Services, and then worked at OSI/NovaCare. Additionally, he completed several short courses pertinent to his line of work.
"I enjoy trying to make people's lives better," Kassebaum says. "I like to do more personal things with people."
Jerry and his wife, Judy, live in Lincoln, and they have two sons.

Ray Lines, CO
Ray Lines is an ABC-certified orthotist who specializes in lower-extremity foot orthotics for diabetics and sports-oriented patients at the Lincoln office. He also is responsible for wound management devices for diabetic wounds and ulcers, and all aspects of orthotic care, including spinal, cervical and upper extremity patients.
Prior to joining NOPS in 2003, Ray gained more than 20 years experience, holding positions at Missouri Valley Brace and OSI/NovaCare in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Ray notes that the most interesting aspect of his profession is that it is never routine. Each patient is unique and the treatment is always customized relative to the disability and the needs of the individual.
"The disability is never of the same cause or reason," Ray says. "I really like the personal side, listening to my patients' stories, learning what they want to achieve, and then helping them fulfill their goals."
Ray and his wife, Meloni, live in Lincoln, and they have two sons and a daughter.

Julian Wells, CPO
Julian Wells, CPO, joined Nebraska Orthotic & Prosthetic Services in 2001 as a technician, and is now the manager of the Omaha office. Julian is responsible for all aspects of prosthetic and orthotic care, and his specialty is the fabrication of lightweight, high-function prostheses. Before entering the profession, Julian was studying mechanical engineering, a field that always interested him. He later earned a degree in exercise science at University of Nebraska - Lincoln. After an orthotist introduced him into the orthotics and prosthetics industry, Julian attended Century College in White Bear Lake, Minn. He is ABC-certified in prosthetics and orthotics, a career choice he says is a rewarding blend of his interests and experiences in engineering and healthcare.
"My engineering and biomechanics background helps me analyze the efficiency of prosthetic and orthotic function. But the healthcare aspect is the most rewarding," Julian says. "The patients make it fun and easy to come to work every day. Being certified in prosthetics and orthotics allows me to provide complete quality care to many people in their rehabilitative journey."
Julian lives in Omaha with his wife, Jess, and their daughter, Kiya.

Brandon Quick, CP
Brandon Quick, CP, has extensive experience in the field of prosthetics, specializing in fitting and fabricating lower and upper extremity prosthetics. As an amputee himself, he has a unique understanding of patient needs. "My personal situation gives me a huge advantage in working with patients because I am a patient, too," Brandon says. "When they indicate pain or discomfort, I can relate to it, and I strive to make it as easy as possible for them." Brandon joined the staff at NOPS in 2001 and received his prosthetic training in Lincoln. He was certified by the American Board for Certification in Orthotics and Prosthetics (ABC) in 2004 and the Board of Certification (BOC) in 2001. A native of Benedict, Brandon and his wife live in Grand Island and are the parents of two young boys. |

Bill Brown, CPO
Bill Brown, CPO, joined the Hastings office in 2006. He has worked in the profession for more than 20 years, following in the footsteps of his father, who also was a practitioner. The Brown family includes brother Randy Brown, CP, who sees patients in the Lincoln office. Prior to joining NOPS, Bill worked as an orthotist and prosthetist in Boulder, Colo. "Orthotics and prosthetics is a very needed service," Brown said. "I enjoy helping people and being able to make a difference in their lives." Bill is certified by the American Board for Certification in Orthotics and Prosthetics (ABC). A native of Boulder, Brown now resides in Doniphan with his wife, Gerri. |

Micki Buscher, COF, RFO
Micki Buscher is a Certified Orthotic Fitter (COF) and Registered Fitter of Orthotics (RFO), specializing in mastectomy fittings and compression therapy fittings. She works out of both the Grand Island and Hastings offices. Micki brings an enormous amount of patience and compassion to her job. She was drawn to the field after working with physical therapists who were involved in the care of her youngest son. "Being able to make a difference in someone's life is very important to me," she says. "I want to do the best for my patients and take great care to see they are satisfied." Micki is certified by the American Board for Certification in Orthotics and Prosthetics (ABC) and the Board of Certification (BOC). She is also certified in Jobst Compression Therapy. Micki lives in Hastings with her husband. They are the parents of three children. |
